ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to continued growth across our investments and projects portfolio we are looking to hire a skilled and experienced woodworker into the Corbenyah Properties team in Lytham.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in carpentry and joinery, ideally including Bench Hand manufacturing experience and skills with all specialist woodworking machinery.
Our small but highly skilled team works to complete a range of inhouse projects including renovations/refurbs, commercial business and office space fit outs, maintenance across a portfolio of holiday and residential property lettings. Work is varied and no two days are the same.
As a skilled Joiner, you will be responsible for creating, assembling, and installing a wide range of wood products, including but not limited to furniture, cabinetry, doors, windows, and bespoke high-end custom fixtures for both the residential and commercial property space.
We are particularly interested to see applications from candidates with a keen eye for detailed furniture design and craftsmanship as we look to bring workshop processes inhouse in the very near future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications with an ability to manufacture detailed and bespoke woodwork pieces.
Collaborate with designers and internal stakeholders to meet specifications
Collaborate with other skilled tradespeople (internal and 3rd party contractors) to ensure seamless project completion and adherence to project timelines and budgets
Provide valuable input on material selection and design improvements and costings
Estimate material requirements and costs for projects, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure project accuracy and completeness.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Construct, fit, and install furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, staircases, and other woodwork projects.
Carry out repairs, renovations, and maintenance of wooden structures and fixtures.
Construct frameworks, partitions, and structures for buildings, including walls, floors, doors, windows, and roofs.
Install cabinetry, countertops, molding, trim, and other finish work to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of interiors.
Repair or replace damaged woodwork, including floors, stairs, and cabinetry.
Frame out rooms and spaces according to project specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Physically fit and the able to lift and move heavy materials safely
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and blueprints accurately.

Ensure tools and equipment in good safe working condition at all times and maintain a clean and organised worksite.
EXPERIENCE:
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, machinery and construction methods.
Experience with bespoke or large custom woodwork projects.
Experience with both rough carpentry (framing, roofing) and finish carpentry (trim, cabinetry).
Experience working on 1st and 2nd fix in both residential and commercial projects.
Familiarity with modern building materials and construction techniques
Wood workshop experience highly beneficial
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery, or equivalent certification beneficial
CSCS Card (desirable but not essential, we can help you achieve this)
Full Driving License and own Vehicle required (essential)
Own tools required
WORKING HOURS:
Core working hours are Mon-Fri however weekend work may be offered where necessary to accommodate site accessibility and to complete projects to agreed timescales.
Travel is required and will broadly cover sites across the Fylde region and the North West, UK.
